  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues across a bounded set of distributed services; deliver compatibility-safe fixes and clear upgrade paths.
  • Improve availability, performance, capacity, and operability through targeted resilience patterns, monitoring, logging, and automation.
  • Partner with engineers across OCI to understand consumer needs, review designs and code, and guide adoption of platform capabilities.
  • Create high-quality technical documentation, samples, and operational guidance for platform consumers.
  • Participate in service support and continuous-improvement efforts, including incident investigation and root-cause follow-up.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of professional software-development experience; advanced degree holders may have fewer years of experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented or systems programming language, such as Java, C++, C#, or Go.
  • Experience designing and building backend services, APIs, microservices, SDKs, or developer-facing platform capabilities.
  • Understanding of distributed-systems fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and secure software-development practices.
  • Experience with API design, integration, versioning, testing, source control, and production troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated sense of ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building highly available, scalable cloud services or platform products.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, containers, cloud-native deployment, observability, or service reliability engineering.
