From the employer

AXS connects fans with the artists and teams they love. Each year we sell millions of tickets to thousands of incredible events – from concerts and festivals to sports and theater – at some of the most iconic venues in the world. Since our founding in 2011, we’ve consistently pushed the industry forward and improved experiences for fans, making it easier than ever to discover events, find the perfect seats, and enjoy unforgettable live entertainment, and we continue to lead the evolution of our industry today.

We’re passionate about improving the fan experience and providing game-changing solutions for our clients, and we’re always looking for smart, motivated people to help make it happen. Bring your enthusiasm, your big ideas, and your desire to team up with some of the best and brightest in technology and entertainment.

The Role

AXS is seeking a Lead Software Engineer – Full Stack to lead the design and development of our core ticketing platforms.

You will lead full-stack work across user interfaces, back-end services, APIs, and integrations. The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, architecture, and team guidance in a complex enterprise environment. You’ll own initiatives end-to-end on front-end and back-end, drive technical direction, and partner with Product, Design, and engineering to ship secure, scalable software for high-demand, global use cases.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design, build, and maintain front-end and back-end features for web applications.
  • Lead full-stack architecture and design reviews; author or review technical design as needed.
  • Set standards for code quality, security, performance, accessibility, and scalability on UI and services.
  • Build APIs, business logic, and integrations that support strong user experiences.
  • Support agile delivery: planning, estimation, backlog breakdown, risk and blocker management.
  • Champion testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational practices for apps and services.
  • Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, and improve documentation and knowledge sharing.

What to Bring

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, including technical leadership.
  • Strong front-end experience: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript; frameworks such as React or Next.js; modern UI architecture, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Strong back-end experience: C# and .NET Core; building APIs, services, and business logic that power web applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to own work across front-end and back-end, not only one layer.
  • Solid understanding of API design, integrations, and modern application architecture.
  • Experience optimizing UI performance and service performance/reliability.
  • Proven ability to lead engineers, set engineering standards, and drive work from concept through production.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • AWS; Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar data stores; Node.js.
  • Design systems, CI/CD, distributed or event-driven patterns.
