What you'll do
- Build high-traffic web applications using PHP with Laravel and Vue
- Create REST APIs and background jobs, including systems handling peak volumes above one million jobs per hour
- Shape feature designs and architecture with the Lead Engineer, then lead technical planning for changes to a redesigned business process
- Own features from first code commit through production, keeping them healthy, fast and maintainable
- Deploy several times daily through GitLab CI/CD, and monitor application health with Datadog dashboards and alerts
What you bring
- Strong PHP 8 and Laravel skills, plus hands-on work with TypeScript, JavaScript and Vue 3
- You have designed and built end-to-end, integration and unit tests
- You can design, secure and scale REST APIs, and have experience with AWS, Git, Valkey or comparable tools
- You bring relational database design and performance tuning experience, such as with MySQL 8
- You can work in an English-speaking environment

What you will do
Build high-traffic web applications with PHP (Laravel) & Vue.JS
Build internal & external RESTful API as well as Background Jobs (peak times: > 1 million jobs per hour)
Engage in decisions ranging from UI design to application architecture, together with the Lead Engineer, and explore new technologies
Lead the technical conception of features that support a newly designed business process.
Take full ownership of the features you build, from the initial code commit to ensuring they run smoothly in production. You'll be responsible for their health, performance, and long-term maintainability.
Ship code with confidence multiple times a day using our CI/CD Pipeline (Gitlab) to our hosting platform (AWS Elastic Container Service)
Monitor applications with industry-standard tools (Datadog) through Dashboards & Alerting
Learn from other developers in a highly skilled team and present your ideas in our regular Tech talks
Join a pragmatic agile team that values shipping quality code over the full SCRUM ceremony
Who you are
- Excellent coding skills in PHP 8 (Laravel)
- Excellent coding skills in Typescript and Javascript
- Experience with Vue 3
- Experience in designing and implementing E2E, integration & unit tests
- Solid background in building complex and beautiful products which provide an excellent user experience
- Expertise in designing, securing, and scaling RESTful APIs
- Experience working with AWS, Git, Valkey, or equivalent
- Hand-on Experience with relational database design & performance optimization (i. e. MySQL 8)
- Passionate about writing well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code, actively keeping the quality of the code base in check
- Ready to work in an English-speaking environment
